34 Ph.D. Scholarships in the social sciences, GSSPS, Milan

The call for applications to fully funded Ph.D. Scholarships in Economic Sociology and Labour Studies, Political Studies, Sociology and Methodology of Social Research at the Graduate School of Social and Political Sciences (GSSPS) of the University of Milan is now open.

The deadline for submitting applications is September 30, 2014.

All admitted Ph.D. students will be offered a scholarship. Admission to Ph.D. Programmes is based on qualifications and interviews. The PhD programmes, fully taught in English, promote international exchanges with top European research institutions and offer quality teaching at international level. The beginning of teaching activities is scheduled for January 2014.

Scholarships are available as follows:

  • Ph.D. in Economic Sociology and Labour Studies – ESLS PhD: 12 Scholarships;
  • Ph.D. in Political Studies – POLS PhD: 15 Scholarships;
  • Ph.D. in Sociology and Methodology of Social Research – SOCME PhD: 10 Scholarships.

Starting from Academic Year 2013-2014, the Graduate School has hosted the NASP-WEST project (Network for the Advancement of Social and Political Studies) which involves a network of universities in North-Western Italy: Brescia, Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Genova, Milano, Pavia, Piemonte Orientale, Torino.
